U2- Put On Your Boots (Crookers Remix- BBC Radio Rip) (Link 2)

You may have noticed I neglected to post about the U2 song ‘Put On Your Boots’. The reason? I hate it, and I couldn’t bring myself to maul their hard work so easily on the interweb… not after ‘The Joshua Tree’, anyhow…

Crookers have always been able to subvert the common assumptions concerning music. The main aspect of the song, that lame ‘put on your boots’ cry, which I despised with a passion, has been transofrmed into some sort of battle-cry. They manage to make this song good… great, even. Now we just have to wait for their album (should be arriving mid 2009)…
