It’s nice to see James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem getting his dues. ‘Sound Of Silver’ was a brilliant album, one that capped off a long period of intense focus and finally brought his talent to the fore. In the last few weeks, his track ‘Someone Great’ (one of my ‘emotional’ songs) has been used as backing for two mixes- Kid Cudi’s freestyle ‘Can I Be’ (download here) and now on Diplo’s re-hash of Justin Timberlake’s ‘My Love’.

It’s all too easy. Of course, the two songs fit seamlessly together, and Diplo switches up the order of things to keep us guessing, bringing T.I.’s verse to the start and capping things off with Murphy’s chant of ‘and it keeps coming, and it keeps coming, till the day it stops.’ Musicality at its finest. I’m sold.
